Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Wedding Harmony ("Wedding Harmony", "we", "our", or "us") is a wedding planning app for iOS and Android, operated by Adam Neumann Software Engineering, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland (CEIDG), NIP 5833558438, REGON 543762548. We are the data controller for the data described in this policy. You can reach us at adaskososik@gmail.com.
This policy explains what the app and this website collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. We have written it to be accurate to how the app actually works: Wedding Harmony is a cloud-based, collaborative app. Your wedding plan is stored in the cloud so it can sync in real time between you and your partner across devices. We describe that honestly — we do not claim your data never leaves your phone, because to make collaboration and sync work, it does.
2. The short version
- Your wedding data is stored in the cloud (Google Firebase, Cloud Firestore) so it can sync between you and your partner.
- We do not sell your data and we don't share it with advertisers. There are no ad networks in the app.
- The app uses no third-party analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs. We collect no behavioural usage profiles and we do not track your location.
- This website uses cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) that collect only aggregated visit statistics — no cookies, no personal data, and no cross-site tracking, so there is nothing to consent to and no cookie banner.
- The AI assistant is powered by Google's Gemini API, called through our own backend. It receives your question and a summary of your wedding — but not your guest list, your guests' contact details, or your account email.
- You can delete your account and all of its data at any time — see Delete your account.
3. Information we collect
Account information
When you first open the app you are signed in anonymously using an identifier generated by Firebase Authentication — no name, email, or password is required to start planning. If you choose to sign in to secure your account and keep it across devices, we receive the unique identifier from your sign-in provider (Google on Android, Sign in with Apple on iOS) plus any name or email address you choose to share. If you use Apple's private relay, we receive the relay address instead of your real one. We do not offer or store email-and-password logins, so we never hold a password of yours.
Wedding planning data you create
This is the information you enter to plan your wedding, including:
- wedding details — date, venue name and location, budget, target guest count, style, partner names, and a cover photo if you add one;
- tasks, checklists, and your planning timeline;
- budget entries and expenses;
- vendor details and notes;
- seating arrangements and table layouts;
- music selections for your ceremony and reception.
Guest information you add
When you build your guest list you may enter information about other people — names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, RSVP status, meal choices, dietary restrictions and allergies, whether a guest is a child, plus-one details, table assignments, and notes. This is personal data about third parties, so please add only what you need, and see "Your responsibility for guest data" below.
AI assistant conversations
If you use the AI wedding assistant, the messages you send and the assistant's replies are stored with your wedding so your conversation history is available to you. See section 6 for what is sent to the AI provider.
Purchase information
If you buy the optional Premium upgrade, the purchase is processed by Apple (on iOS) or Google Play (on Android). We receive confirmation of your purchase status so we can unlock Premium features. We never receive or store your payment-card details — the app stores handle billing.
What we deliberately do not collect
- No behavioural analytics. We don't track which screens or features you use, and the app ships without an analytics SDK.
- No crash-reporting SDK and no advertising or marketing trackers.
- No location tracking. The app does not request location permission. On Android it requests only internet access and, if you enable reminders, permission to post notifications.
4. How your data is stored and synced
Your data is stored using Google Firebase — Cloud Firestore for your wedding data and
Firebase Authentication for your sign-in. Certain features run through our own server-side
Cloud Functions, hosted in Google's europe-west1 region (Belgium, EU). Data is
transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and is encrypted at rest on Google's infrastructure.
Partner collaboration: to plan together, the wedding owner shares a six-character invitation code. When your partner enters that code, their account is added as a collaborator on the same wedding, and from then on you both have full read-and-write access to all of that wedding's data, synced in real time. Because anyone who enters a valid code gains this access, share your code only with your partner and treat it like a password.
5. How we use your data
We use the information described above only to provide and operate the app, specifically to:
- store your wedding plan and sync it across your and your partner's devices;
- generate your personalised planning timeline and the features you use;
- provide AI assistant responses when you ask (see section 6);
- return music search results when you look up songs (see section 6);
- process and restore your Premium purchase through Apple or Google;
- send the local reminders you enable (see section 9);
- respond to your support requests.
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not use it to train AI models of our own.
6. Third-party services we share data with
To provide certain features the app sends limited data to the following service providers. We share only what each feature needs, and we never sell your data.
Google (Firebase and the Gemini AI API)
Google Firebase hosts and syncs your data as described above. Separately, the AI wedding assistant is powered by Google's Gemini API, called through our own Cloud Function rather than from your device. When you send a message to the assistant, we send Google your message, your recent conversation history, and a summary of your wedding context (such as the wedding date, budget, target guest count, style, and venue location) so the answer is relevant. We do not send your guest list, your guests' contact details, or your account email. Google processes this data under its own terms, and these conversations are not used to train our models.
Spotify
The music planner searches the Spotify catalogue. Your search runs through our Cloud Function — the app does not talk to Spotify directly — and we pass on your search text and your region so results match your market. We send no personal identifiers, no account information, and no guest data, and you do not need a Spotify account to use the feature.
Apple
The app queries Apple's public iTunes Search API directly to fetch song previews and album artwork; that request contains your search terms and your region, and no account information. Apple separately handles Sign in with Apple and iOS in-app purchases under Apple's own privacy policy.
Who we do not share with
We do not share your data with advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party analytics providers, and we do not sell your personal information.
7. International data transfers
Our Cloud Functions run in the EU (europe-west1). Our service providers (Google, Apple, and
Spotify) nevertheless operate global infrastructure, so some data may be processed in countries outside your
own, including the United States. Where data is transferred internationally, those providers rely on
recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Data retention and deletion
We keep your wedding data for as long as you keep your account, so it's there whenever you come back to it. When you delete your account we delete your user profile, the weddings you own and all of their associated data (guests, tasks, budget, vendors, seating, timelines, and chat history), and your authentication record. If you joined someone else's wedding as a collaborator, you can remove yourself from it; the owner controls whether that wedding is deleted.
You can delete your account from inside the app at Settings → Account → Delete Account, or request deletion by email if you no longer have the app installed. Full details, including what we are legally required to keep, are on Delete your account.
9. Notifications
The app can send reminders scheduled locally on your device — for example, to nudge you about upcoming tasks. These are optional, you control them when you first set them up, and you can disable them at any time in your device settings. The app does not use remote push notifications.
10. Your rights and choices
We are established in Poland and process personal data of users in the EU, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to us. Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data, including the right to:
- access the data we hold about you — most of it is visible directly in the app;
- correct inaccurate data — you can edit your wedding details at any time;
- delete your data — see Delete your account;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- data portability — to request a copy of your data;
- withdraw consent where we rely on it; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).
You can exercise most of these rights yourself in the app. For anything else — including a copy of your data — email us at adaskososik@gmail.com and we'll help.
Your responsibility for guest data: when you add details about your guests you act as the controller of that information. Please add only what you need and make sure you have a proper basis to store other people's personal data. We process it on your behalf to provide the app.
11. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data: connections use HTTPS/TLS, data is encrypted at rest on Google's infrastructure, and security rules restrict each wedding's data to its owner and invited collaborators. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work to protect your information and to keep our practices honest.
12. Children's privacy
Wedding Harmony is intended for adults planning a wedding. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above, and for material changes we will give a more prominent notice in the app or on this site. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
