Delete your account and data
Last Updated: August 10, 2026
1. Two ways to delete your account
You can delete your Wedding Harmony account and everything in it at any time, and you don't need to contact us first. Choose whichever applies to you.
If you still have the app installed
Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, then confirm. The deletion happens straight away — there is nothing else to do and no waiting period.
If you no longer have the app
Email us at adaskososik@gmail.com from the address associated with your account, with "Account deletion request" as the subject. So that we delete the right account — and never the wrong one — we may ask you for one detail that identifies it, such as your wedding date or your six-character invitation code. We will never ask you for a password, because the app does not use one.
2. What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- your user profile and your authentication record;
- every wedding you own, together with all of its data — guests and their RSVP details, tasks and checklists, budget entries, vendors, seating arrangements and table layouts, planning timelines, and music selections;
- your conversation history with the AI assistant;
- any photos or images you uploaded.
This cannot be undone, and we cannot restore a deleted wedding afterwards. If you want to keep a copy of anything, save it before you delete.
3. If you planned together with a partner
A wedding belongs to the account that created it. If you are the owner, deleting your account deletes that wedding for your partner too. If you joined someone else's wedding using their invitation code, you can remove yourself from it and the wedding stays with its owner — deleting your own account never deletes a wedding you don't own.
4. What we keep, and why
Records we are required to keep by law — for example, records relating to a purchase, which Polish tax law obliges us to retain for a set period — are kept for as long as the law requires and are held separately from your account data. They are not used to identify you as a user or to rebuild your wedding.
Beyond that, residual copies of deleted data may persist briefly in the encrypted backups kept by our cloud infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) before they are overwritten in the normal course of operation.
5. Subscriptions are cancelled separately
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, and it does not issue a refund. Subscriptions are billed by the app store you bought from, not by us, so cancel there first:
- on iPhone or iPad — iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions;
- on Android — Google Play → Menu → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
For a refund, contact Apple or Google directly — they process the payment, so only they can issue one.
6. How long an email request takes
Deleting from inside the app is immediate. For an emailed request, we confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying that the account is yours, and normally much sooner — we usually reply within 48 hours. We will email you to confirm once it is done.
7. Who handles your request
Wedding Harmony is operated by the business below, which is the data controller for your account data. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail of what we collect and your other rights, including access and portability.
